Do you love to
sing? Would you like a unique choir experience? Are you between the ages of 16
and 25?
A new
non-auditioned choir is starting this fall in Saskatoon. It's for anyone who
loves to sing, and is inclusive of young adults with intellectual disabilities.
We are starting small - 10 members total - and will be working towards a public
Christmas concert on Sunday, December 6 at 3 pm. Our group will share the stage
with Kids of Note, 25 younger singers who have been delighting large audiences
for several years now. And just like with Kids of Note, the repertoire will be
fun, uplifting, and often challenging. (Plans are currently underway for a
special event at the end of April or early May.)
Rehearsals are
every Wednesday from 5 to 6 pm at Grosvenor Park United Church (14th St. E. and
Cumberland Ave. S.) where concerts also take place. Dress rehearsal is the
morning of December 5. Fees are $150 (general) or $100 (post-secondary students)
for a program running until next April. We take about 5 weeks off over
Christmas. To receive a brochure with further details and a registration form,
please contact Brenda Baker, Founding Director of Kids of
Note: [email protected] or
